Thoughts of Fall

Tomorrow is the first day of school for us here at the beach and with that I usually usher summer out and welcome the fall season with open arms.  Fall is my favorite time of year and I love to squeeze in every possible minute I can to revel in its splendor.  I love everything there is about fall and enjoy celebrating it in any way I can.  I love the crispness that comes with the air, the falling leaves, the fall grasses and the early evenings.  I love the bonfires, s'mores, and roasting hot dogs along with long walks along the beach and watchng the changing colors everywhere.

Exciting Announcement

I have a most exciting announcement to make today.

Starting this Saturday I am going to be co-hosting with

bringing you the

Share It One More Time Link Party.

I was so excited when Tammy asked me to join her - I couldn't believe it.
I have been reading her blog since I started blogging
fell in love with it almost immediately.
I love her style and her way of turning the most ordinary of items into something
absolutely extra-ordinary.
Whether it be in her interior design, her garden or a simple craft,
Tammy just has a wonderful way of doing it.
And, Tammy is one of the sweetest, most helpful bloggers I have met.
I guarantee you will fall in love with her style just as I have.
I am so excited to be sharing this event with her.

Don't forget to come back this Sunday
share all those great projects, ideas and recipes with us....

Two blogs - one party -double the fun!

Looking forward to partying with you all.

Throwback Thursday - Ana White Shelf

It's Throwback Thursday and I want to bring back a little family project we did back in 2012.
I found the most wonderful shelf unit on Ana White's site - Build a Rustic X Console.
Ana has a plethora of the most marvelous plans for all kinds of furniture and they are simple to follow  - so my son says.  My granddaughter's needed a shelf unit in their room for their TV, books, DVD's - all the things girls collect.  They fell in love with this one the same as I did.  So we proceeded to build it.

DIY Paper Organizer

Vintage, Paint and more... paper organizer made from cereal boxes and scrapbook paper

I was in definite need of a paper organizer for my desk.  I am constantly putting papers that need to be attended to in small little piles all over my desk - thus they get in the way.  When I went in search of one they were so expensive I decided I could live life without a paper organizer or find a way to make one myself.  Then one morning Miss A left an empty cereal box on the kitchen counter for me and the wheels in my head started turning.

Faux Fishing Buoys

I think I have probably done an over kill on the beach inspired decor this summer but, living at the beach gives me so much inspiration.  Believe me, I could probably fill a year with fun beach inspired projects.  On that note I will tell you that this is the last one for this summer.  That is unless I find one I just can't resist!
