DIY Coffee Mugs with Couture Ink

I love coffee.  I mean it is my go-to beverage any time of day morning - noon - or night.  And I love to have cute little coffee mugs to drink it from - they just make it so much more special.  So when I saw the transfers that Chalk Couture had I knew I had to turn some of them into pretty little mugs for my morning coffee time.  They are so cute and so easy to make.  Check them out.

DIY Raffia Wrapped Votives

Hi everyone.
I have a really cute and simple little craft for you today. Bright beach inspired  DIY raffia wrapped votive candles for your patio or anywhere. They are also budget friendly as all the supplies came from the Dollar Tree.  Aren't they adorable in this little beach vingette.

I started with a couple of votive candles in jars and a couple of rolls of raffia that I found at our Dollar Tree. The raffia comes in packages of three skeins - a royal blue, a turquoise and a lime green - bright, very fun colors.

I simply wrapped each votive jar with the raffia using a little hot glue here and there to keep it in place.

Then I added a little bit of twine by winding it around and tying it in place.  I glued a shell over the knot and wallah - you have a very cute little votive to use on your beach inspired patio or any where that you like.

Here are mine on my Twine Wrapped Table I made.  I placed them in a little beach inspired vignette with a "faux" beach glass painted bottle wrapped with twine and filled with some beach grasses and a bucket of shells and twig balls.

So cute - so beachy - and so quick to make. I love these bright colors.

Ribbon Tree Tutorial

Vintage, Paint and more... DIY cone trees made on a budget with ribbon and poster board
We spent a wonderful day with our family yesterday - eating, laughing,  and just enjoying our time together.  I am recovering from turkey coma as I always have to the day after Thanksgiving.  So in keeping with just taking it easy today I thought  I would bring you a simple little craft that can easily done in about 30 minutes to an hour.  I love decorating with those cute little cone trees at Christmas (and actually all year round).  If you have been following me for long you know that I make them out of all sorts of mediums.  So today I thought I would show you how to make a very simple and quick one out of ribbons that is also quite budget friendly (maybe even free if you have these supplies on hand)

Throwback Thursday - Halloween Candy Jars

Written by Cathy Carroll

Hi Everyone,
I have a fun Halloween project I am going to share with you today that I am pulling out of the archives for Throwback Thursday.  I don't do too much Halloween decorating these days like I did when my boys were young but this project is so simple and so cute - you can  make it in an afternoon.
