Spring Wreath Done in a Frame

Spring has definitely arrived here at the beach.  On Sunday they opened our community pool and Miss A just had to jump in - of course, she was the only one that was brave enough to do so.  The temperature was 62* - a little too cool for me - but, she loved it!. I think it will be closer to mid July before I try jumping in... Last week I shared our sunny Spring blue and yellow mantel with you so, today I thought I would share a cute little blue and yellow Spring wreath in a frame you can make to go with your Spring decor.  This project is so simple and easy - you can have it done in about 30 minutes. Isn't it just too cute!

SPRING WREATH DONE IN A FRAME

This post contains affiliate links.  These links do not cost you anything however, they do give me a few pennies to buy more hot glue so I can continue to bring you great projects.

What you will need:
  • An 8" grapevine wreath
  • A 12" x 14" wood frame (I used a painted thrift store frame)
  • 2-yard blue ribbon
  • 1-yard yellow ribbon
  • A small faux bird
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Scissors

You can find my most used craft supplies in my Amazon Store

This is a very easy project and can be done in about 30 minutes.  First of all, you will need to wrap your blue ribbon around your grapevine wreath form.  You can see how it will look in the picture below.

Then make a bow with the blue ribbon and add a second bow on top of it with the yellow ribbon.  Glue the bow in place.  I put mine off to the side a bit.  Then glue your cute little bird in place - wherever you like it.  Last of all, hang the wreath in the frame with a bit of the blue ribbon. This frame was a thrift store find that I painted white.

That's it - you have a cute little Spring wreath in a frame that you can hang anywhere.   Such a simple project but adds so much color and interest in a space.  I love how cheerful and bright it is - but then, I love blue and yellow at most any time of the year.

Have you been doing any special Spring decorating? I love to hear from you so please tell me about it in the comments below.
