I Won and Vintage Recipe Sign

I  WON! I WON! I WON!

Can you tell how happy and excited I am.

I rarely win anything 

and 

to win a give away on a blog I love

is like the greatest for me.

Anyway,

I have to tell you this story.

A few weeks ago I entered the give away at 

Have a Daily Cup of Mrs Olson's blog.

She was celebrating her 100th linky party.

Wow, 100 linky parties!

I love her linky parties as there is always so much inspiration there

and

the posts are all so beautiful.

So to celebrate her 100th Jann was having an awesome giveaway.

A vintage looking Recipe for Happiness sign that 

she brought all the way back from St. George,

a set of very sweet vintage buttons, and a beautiful vintage hankie.

She was also including a vintage Pyrex bowl

and

a gift card to TJ Maxx or Homegoods!

I wanted to celebrate with Jann so I entered.

Then I totally forgot all about the giveaway 

and

a few weeks later I was shocked when she 

emailed me that I had won.

I couldn't believe it.....

What delight when the boxes came with all the wonderful goodies in them.

Some of which I have already put to use....

I have an area in our kitchen that has an old telephone jack on it that is an eyesore.

The wall is very narrow and a cabinet opens out on it 

so 

nothing very thick can be hung there to hide that jack.

I have been looking 

but, 

found nothing appropriate for that area.

When the sign that Jann sent came I was so thrilled 

because 

it was perfect for this area.

Like it had been made especially to hang there.

I just added a piece of twine to go with the vintage feel of the sign

and

doesn't it look great there.

It covers that jack beautifully and fits in the space perfectly.

I love it!

This kitchen is hard to get pictures in without glares or shadows - no windows.

Anyway, I love how it was just perfect for this spot.

I haven't done anything with the other prizes

but, 

they will be put to good use.
