Spring is really finally here..
We are starting to see lots of green
where leaf buds are appearing on all the trees and bushes.
The flowering pear trees and some apple trees have begun to blossom
and
the ever dreaded yellow pine pollen is starting to cover everything.
Bringing with it our ever dreaded Spring allergies.
Today I have a simple little Spring vignette
and
the last few days of our giveaway for you..
Have you entered yet?
A $25 gift card is always an added welcome to anyone's pocket.
This little touch of Spring is sitting on our bookcase.
I decided to make a garden type setting to celebrate all the new growth that is around.
I hung a plain grapevine wreath on the wall.
Then I added a couple of little tins from Dollar Tree that I painted with chalk paint
and
embellished with twine and a lace flower with a button center.
I filled one of the tins with some faux yellow tulips and daffodils from Dollar Tree
to keep my pop of yellow going throughout the house.
Then I added a little faux ivy I had on hand.
I turned the second tin on its side and filled it with a faux birds nest
I made from moss from the Dollar Tree
and two little bird eggs I got at Hobby Lobby last year.
I then decided to take a length of burlap ribbon I had and run it along to add some texture.
I set some tiny little clay pots on top
and
a little bird I have had for a while.
I finished it off with a couple of moss covered rocks
I found at Dollar Tree also.
What would we do without Dollar Tree?
I really love this little Spring vignette as it has all the things I love about Spring in it.
Birds, flowers, moss, and burlap......

We are still waiting on spring, hope it gets here soon! I love your spring touches, your vignette is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love the tins Cathy! And the burlap ribbon is perfect. I'm slowly working on a vignette for the buffet. Looks like a trip to Dollar Tree is needed soon!
