And yet it seems like a lot longer than a month has gone by - much has happened since that last little post.
My grandkids and their Mom and Dad moved here....
We are ecstatic !
It's wonderful having them so close to us now.
And they are, of course, spending a lot of time at the beach....
School started for all of them and it has been a little interesting.
One in grade school, one in middle school and two in high school.
The many trials and anxieties of each
grade level is quite interesting to say the least.
Each one has their own individual anxiety about what lies ahead of them.
But, as time passes by so have some of the anxieties they were
dealing with.
They are making new friends and engaging in school activities and
are all round becoming more comfortable with all the
new transitions they are embarking on at this time.
It has been wonderful sharing these time with them and being able to be
right there for them when they need to talk about something.
Papa developed a kidney stone and has had to have
two hospital procedures besides an ER visit.
He was unable to really enjoy the last month due to the illness.
But, they finally got that little booger out and he is
feeling much better now.
Just in time to enjoy the football games
and
fall festivals that soon upon us here.
Fall is soon upon here in the south.
Although this is not your normal fall pic
it does tell us that soon
we will be having cooler temps and activities to
bustle the fall in.
I am so looking forward to this as fall is my favorite time of year.
I can hardly wait to get out my fall decor
Oh, the pumpkins, mums, scarecrows and colored foliage ....
And the food.
Fall cuisine is so much different than the summer fare for us.
We love comfort foods -
soups, casseroles, baked breads, and s'mores.
Soooo looking forward to these....
And, with the start of school, cooler temps and the promise of fall
comes
PROJECTS.
Lots and lots and lots of projects.
I am so excited to be able to get back to my garage
and start painting again.
I have really missed it.
I did manage a few indoor projects this last month
and
I will be posting them in the next few days.
However, I have had computer problems and most of my
before pics have been deleted
from a virus I got.
I was being very conscientious about clutter at the time
and
also deleted all those pics off my camera and phone.
Sometimes it just doesn't pay to be on top of things.
Therefore, I will just be posting
pics of the finished projects .
Sorry, but that is the best I can do.
And so I will close this post with a little bit of beachiness
on a rather warm and cloudy day
from the southern
coast.
Have a wonderful Labor Day.
Until next time
get out there and do something fun
but,
most of all
Enjoy Your Life.
Lovin' my life in Carolina,
Cathy

Now it will be so much like home with them there to bring you joy and of course other things...;-D but so sorry to read about Roger and his kidney stone. I hear it is horrible as bad as a baby being born but glad that he is on the mend. Send him our love.
ReplyDeleteLove ya,

We are so enjoying the kids and grandkids being here now - it was hard that year and a half we were apart. Rog is doing just fine now and feeling much, much better. Thanks for your kind words....
