Stenciled Cabinet

Hi everyone.
I have been working on a few Fall things to show you but haven't really finished anything yet.  So today I thought I would share this little stenciled cabinet I did last week.  It didn't always look this cute though.

Vintage, Paint and more... stenciled cabinet

I found this at Hobby Lobby and although it's a really cool cabinet - I didn't care for the color or distressing on it.  It was on a deeply discounted - 80%off shelf and if it hadn't I would not have purchased it to redo it. (Please overlook the dust on the shelves- it had been sitting in our garage for a couple of weeks where T had been sanding.)

Here's a side view of it.  Very black and somewhat distressed.  I have been on a black kick lately but I just wasn't feeling it on this piece.  So out came the white diy'd chalk paint and I set to work.

I painted the cabinet with the white paint and then I painted the drawers with some leftover blue paint I had on hand.  I then decided it needed a little more so I stenciled some numbers on the drawers with black chalkboard paint.

I love it now.  It's perfect for holding the items I am using for my present scrapbook project and fits perfectly on the side table next to my desk.

I am so glad I saw the potential in this piece and brought it home.  It now fits into my decor perfectly.
