Hi everyone, so glad you could stop by for our Tweak It Inspiration Thursday on Friday this week. I hope you are enjoying these as much as we are doing them. I love a challenge. This week Tammy is doing the feature so I'm going to turn it right over to her.
Welcome back to another Tweak It Inspiration Thursday, I know you all are probably thinking...What? It's Friday and that I have totally lost my mind....well... right about now I am, with the wedding being ...next weekend. Can you believe it? It's amazing how time goes by so quickly.
First, I would like to apologize for having to move Tweak it Inspiration Thursday, I had a prior commitment to DIY Days Blog hop... did you happen to see yesterdays post I am sure you will get some great inspiration there too... along with today's inspiration from Lyn at Repurposed 4 Life.
Lyn shared her Wood Slab Planter she created with a left over slab of a stump at Share it One More Time and today I will be featuring her and her Wood slab planter she made, be sure to stop by Repurposed 4 Life where she shows how she created this great planter.
Here is how she inspired me. We all have been busy preparing and now it's getting down to the nitty gritty of things for the wedding. The wedding will be done in a Vintage Rustic theme. One of the the projects for the tables will be using wood slabs cut into chargers for the the centerpieces.
With the leftover piece of the trunk which is to small for chargers it was decided to take the rest of the trunk and turn it into a planter for the side yard garden area.
Using a chainsaw and going along the center of the log it was hollowed out following the pattern of the log leaving just enough room to plant some flowers in.
Once it was cut and cleaned out it was lined with a "Coco Fiber Liner "
and filled with an assorment of flowers and ground cover.
in the past I shared a couple of other ideas using tree stumps and this one from Lyn inspired me once again to make another. Thank you Lyn for sharing and inspiring me!

Wow! I love both projects - now to find a tree stump somewhere. How about you? Hope you enjoyed it and be sure to go and visit Lyn and see all the great things she does over at Repurposed 4 Life. She does some amazing projects over there.
Don't forget to come back Saturday for the
Share It One More Time Link Party
and bring all those great projects, crafts and recipes to link up. See ya then.
Until next time have fun creating something you love.
Just gorgeous !
ReplyDeleteWould love to make a side table out of one of them - last year there were 3 of them by the curbside - I couldn't lift them and John refused to go get them - thought I was crazy - I'm still upset over that LOL
