Paper Strip Pumpkins for Fall

Hi everyone.
Has Fall found it's way to where you live yet.  Even though it's officially Fall some areas just haven't heard the news and are still in the throws of some very hot summer temps - we were until this morning when the rains came and the temps finally dropped down into the mid 60's.  This won't last long but, I am loving it while it does.

Even with the warm tems I have gotten into full Fall mode here and have been crafting away making a few things for this year. A few weeks ago I told you about using the traditional colors of fall this year and that I also wanted to challenge myself to use a lot of paper crafts to do it with.  I first challenged myself to come up with a wreath and did this Paper Leaf Wreath I shared with you last week.

I love the way it just seems to glow with the colors of fall - especially when put against the chalkboard.  So I then decided I needed to come up with some pumpkins to go with it.  That's when I decided to make some paper strip pumpkins out of some of my scrapbook paper.

These are so simple to make I found the instructions at It's Always Autumn. I followed these instructions and they took very little time to make several of these cute little guys to add to our fall decor.  These pumpkins are done with 6", 9" and 12" strips to get the different sizes.  You can come up with the size you like by altering the length of your strips.  I love that these can be customized to your decor by the different papers you can use.  So simple and so cute.

Next week I will have another great project I made with paper lunch bags.  You won't want to miss this one.

  4. So glad I found your strip pumpkins. I have bunch of strips cut and ready but can't remember how they were put together, duh. Think it's been at least 2 yrs since I cut the strips. Altho I tried to put the strips into pumpkin form they weren't cooperating so put them away again. Such a simple thing. Love how your pumpkins look in your very pretty fall vignette. Happy weekend
