Vintage Vignette for Fall

Hi everyone.  Can you believe Halloween is this Saturday - my how these days are flying by.  It will soon be time to start getting things ready for Christmas.  I'm not sure I am ready for this as it seems January was just last week.  However it is still Fall and today I am going to share a Vintage Vignette for Fall that I did in our hallway.

Vintage, Paint and more... vintage vignette done with recycled painted lamp and vase, book page wreath, painted and upcycled table

This area was recently repainted and I will be doing a post on it later.  Our hallway is approximately 5 feet wide so there is plenty of room for a small table.  I decided to place the little French Sewing Table that I upcycled a couple of years ago. It was a great yard sale find for $5. Then I placed a small wire egg basket on it that I filled with balls of colorful crochet thread.

Next to it I placed a  vintage lamp I found at a yard sale for $2.00 that had no shade.  It was brown in color and I repainted it with black chalkboard paint to fit in with our decor. Then I found a lampshade at the Salvation Army for $.50.  What a great little light for only $2.50. Above this area I hung a chicken screen "faux" window that I was able to pick up at Hobby Lobby for very little at their year end close out.  I placed my Paper Leaf Wreath on the window.  This wreath is so easy to make with scrapbook papers and old book pages.  I think it is one of my favorite wreaths I have made.

Vintage, Paint and more... chalk painted and stenciled table, recycled thrift store lamp and faux window with paper wreath

On the other side of the table is one of my Painted Vases I did a couple of years ago.  I filled it with "faux" Fall flowers, burlap flowers, berries, and leaves to give a bright blend of color to this area.  I placed the vase on a stack of old books sans covers and tied with raffia.  The little pumpkin sitting in front is a ball of twine that I stuck a stick in the hole for a stem.

Under the table is a large trunk basket that I found at the Good Will for $5.  It is up for redo soon as it needs a little TLC but that will be in another post.  Right now it's right at home in this Fall Vintage Vignette.

Vintage, Paint and more... thrifted upcycled and painted vintage lamp, vase, paper page wreath, twine pumpkin, painted and stenciled French table.

I think this area is probably my favorite for Fall this year.  There are so many thrifted and recycled projects and they all bring their own addition to the space - color, texture, and/or interest.  I love shopping for interesting pieces that I can put my own spin on for our home. It costs very little and I can feed my need to be continually changing things around for very little cost.
Do you like putting together areas in your home from thrift store finds that you have redone?  I love to hear from you so tell me all about it in the comments below.

Until next time enjoy creating something you love.

I will be linking up to the parties listed on the Where I Party page.  Be sure to stop by as you'll find some wonderful inspiration and creativeness at each one.
