Weekend Reading #1

I do a lot of "roaming around in blog-land.   With each post I write, I link it to several link parties and social media sites, not to mention all the perusing I do on my own.  So it stands to reason that on my ventures I run into some pretty cool and interesting things out there.    I thought it would be fun for my readers if I started posting some of these wonderful projects, recipes, and tips I find with you.  So each weekend I am going to post a Weekend Reading List for your enjoyment.  Maybe, you too will find something you love on this list.

So, my reading list for this week follows;

If you decide to pin any of these projects please be sure to go to the original site to do so - thank you....

I don't make pies - I never have.  The main reason is that the crust intimidates me.  Can you believe the crust on this pie?  Just gorgeous.... If I could bake a pie that looked like this I would do one every day.  And, this is my favorite - peach!  Check out With Love, Katie for the recipe

You won't believe what this little storage shelf unit is from - most likely you have one in your home or you have seen them in the dollar stores.  Such a great recycle - love it.  For instructions go to Sadie Seasongoods blog where she gives you a great tutorial.

Laura at Too Many Hobbies shows us how to transform a plain plastic tray into a beautiful "faux" galvanized and rope tray with leather handles.  Such a classy up cycle to use for those get together's this fall or anytime.  I think I may have one of these trays sitting around here somewhere.

Christine at Rustic and Refined has joined several other bloggers in a Fall Tablescape Blog Hop.  You will love visiting all these wonderful ladies posts and see what they have put together for their fall tables.  I saw so many wonderful tables I may try to do a tablescape myself this year.
