DIY BOO Sign

Hi everyone.  After all the rain we received two weekends ago would you believe it rained most of the day again this past Saturday. The weatherman stated that South Carolina is officially out of its drought conditions now. I would hope so after all this.  Anyway, today I thought I would share a little BOO Sign that Miss A and I did on Saturday to pass the boredom brought on by all the rain.

I am not much on decorating for Halloween itself - I much prefer just to do Fall however she does love to make a few things for this holiday.

Vintage, Paint and more... BOO sign kit

When I was shopping at Hobby Lobby last week I found this kit to make this cute little sign.  I knew it was something she would love to do and it was on one of their 50% off sales so it was only $2.

This is a picture of the components of this kit.  All scrapbook supplies and could easily be done with your own stash - should you have one.  Everything was included except a glue stick.

I sorted all the pieces for her and laid them out in the order to be put together.  This kit has some directions but it's mostly look at the picture and copy.  It didn't take her long to do it and she had a lot of fun putting it together.  It was easy enough I didn't have to help her beyond the order of the pieces for her.

Isn't it cute.  She hung it on the front door immediately and had to have everyone come look at it.  This is our first bit of decor for Halloween - next week I will have to get what little we do have out so she can go about doing her decorating.
Do you decorate for Halloween - how gory do you get?  I love to hear from you so tell me about it in the comments below.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time enjoy creating something you love.
I will be linking up to the parties listed on the Where I Party page.  Please go by and check out these parties - I think you will enjoy all the inspiration and creativeness you will find there.

  1. Very Nicely done, with lots of color and sparkle. And I see you also had a lovely helper there.

  4. Miss A did an amazing job, and I love to learn of her enthusiasm at what she created! It turned out very cute!
I do decorate for Halloween (not gory stuff though), but for some reason this year I haven't been able to get to it. I hope that maybe after I watch Charlie Brown's The Great Pumpkin, I might get in the mood to do so!
    Have a great week!
