DIY Book Jackets

I love using old books in my decor.  I think they just give it a little more of that vintage look I love.    I also like to use different techniques to make them fit into the style I am using at the time.  Today I thought I would show you how to do a DIY book jacket that I use to change those books up in all sorts of ways. This jacket gives you the ability to customize those old books to fit your decor no matter the color or style.

Share It One More Time Link Party

This past week has been wonderful here at the beach with beautiful sunny, breezy days. Spring is in its full glory and the trees and flowers are starting to bud and bloom.  So much beauty everywhere.

And speaking of Spring - I am joining Tammy from One More Time Events to bring you this week's party. What a party it was - filled with all things Spring. And to help you reach more exposure your links are shared on both blogs.  Yeah, one link - twice the exposure!

Wrapped Egg Tutorial

Good Morning everyone.
In my last post I showed you some really cute and colorful wrapped eggs I had made.  So today I thought I would show you how to make your own with whatever bits of yarn, twine, baker's twine, or string you may have on hand.  It makes no difference they are all done the same.  This is a picture of the eggs in one of my Dollar Store Tins that I painted.  These are quite simple to make and take just a few minutes - so you can turn out a dozen or more in no time.  I usually make mine while watching my evening TV shows.

Plain Tins Turned Trendy

Good morning everyone.  I was at the Dollar Tree the other day when I happened on these little tins.  They were cute but the colors were all wrong and they were pretty plain - I almost passed them by.  Then an idea struck and  I knew I could alter them to make them really trendy and fit into our present decor.
So I bought these plain little tins to work a little magic on.

Spring in the Entryway

Good morning everyone.  Today I thought I would bring you a little more Spring by showing you our Spring entryway.  I wanted to keep it vintage and neutral this year and I think I achieved that with the items I chose.

Spring Mantel 2015

Before I get into today's post I need to address an issue we just discovered.  Remember signing up for Vintage, Paint and more's emails so you wouldn't miss any of the projects and tutorials?  Well, we just discovered that they were being blocked due to a technical issue.  But with the help of an expert in this field we were able to get that issue resolved and now you will be receiving those emails just as you signed up for them.  Thank you so much for your patience in this manner and if you have any questions just ask in the comments below.  I will get back to you.

Good morning everyone.
Hope you all are having some beautiful weather where you are as we are here.  It has been so pretty we have been able to be outside most of each day this week just enjoying the sun and the ocean breezes with these wonderful warm temps.  I would have to say Spring has arrived.  And with that let's get on to today's post.

French Graphic Window

Before I get into today's post I need to address an issue we just discovered.  Remember signing up for Vintage, Paint and more's emails so you wouldn't miss any of the projects and tutorials?  Well, we just discovered that they were being blocked due to a technical issue.  But with the help of an expert in this field we were able to get that issue resolved and now you will be receiving those emails just as you signed up for them.  Thank you so much for your patience in this manner and if you have any questions just ask in the comments below.  I will get back to you.

Well, we have turned the clocks forward, the sun has decided to start shining here and the temps are supposed to be in the high 60's to low 70's all week.  So I must say I think Spring has finally arrived at my house.  I am so thrilled - it has been a long dreary winter for sure.  So to celebrate Spring today I am going to share a pretty little window I did for my Spring mantel which I will be sharing soon.

Spring Wreath

Before I get into today's post I need to address an issue we just discovered.  Remember signing up for Vintage, Paint and more's emails so you wouldn't miss any of the projects and tutorials?  Well, we just discovered that they were being blocked due to a technical issue.  But with the help of an expert in this field we were able to get that issue resolved and now you will be receiving those emails just as you signed up for them.  Thank you so much for your patience in this manner and if you have any questions just ask in the comments below.  I will get back to you.

My how time flies.  It actually seems we were just making our New Years Goals and putting away Christmas - then the Valentine decorations and here we are thinking  of Spring already.  But when so many are still experiencing lots of snow it is hard to believe that it's just around the corner. So in celebration of Spring soon arriving I am going to show you a quick little Spring wreath you can make. This little wreath could be used for St.Patrick's Day as well as the Spring season.
